This study aimed at identifying the English Language speaking skill of nine grade students, and at detecting the impact of this strategy on students’ attitude towards English Subject. The sample of the study was divided into two groups experimental and controlled. The study was based on using semi experimental approach. The experimental group (35) students has been taught by using project based learning strategy through a specific instructional guide while the controlled group (37) students has been taught by the usual way. Also, pre and post tests were used for the students to evaluate their speaking skill. In addition, the instructional guide was validated by a panel of expert judges to ensure its effectiveness. Also, a measure of attitudes towards English subjects was prepared and then validated by a panel of expert judges to ensure its honesty. The reliability coefficient of the internal consistency was found to be (0,88) Alpha Cronbach. The results have shown statistical differences between the means of student marks, who were in the experimental group, in the pre and posttest of speaking skill. The results have shown that there is statistical differences in favor of the experimental group. However, the results have not shown and statistical differences in students attitudes towards English Subject. Accordingly, the researchers recommended making use of the project-based learning strategy in teaching English speaking skill, providing English language teachers with training courses in this strategy, and designing teaching guides for English language curricula to include this strategy.
