Oman’s 1st Conference on Tourism Investment was held at Al Bustan Palace Hotel under the patronage of HH Sayyid Taimour bin Asa’ad bin Tariq Al-Said, Assistant Secretary-General for International Cooperation at The Research Council (TRC). The Conference was organized by Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry (OCCI) in collaboration with the Federation of the GCC Chambers and lasted for two days. The conference highlighted the tourism potentials in the Sultanate and the investment climate in the tourism sector as it is an industry that can be relied on in increasing the GDP of any country. This is especially important in the attempt of the GCC states to diversify sources of income and the shift to the service sector in achieving reliable revenue and providing jobs as well.
