This research will present the design and optimization of low-speed, high-torque, Switched Reluctance Generator (SRG) for wind energy applications to investigate the feasibility for several megawatts (MW) size units. This approach will show the mathematical algorithm of electromagnetic and design for switched reluctance machines. Design parameters will be discussed, such as Rotor and stator poles, outer diameter, and machine length.
