This study aims to identify the constraints that affect participation in leisure-time physical activity (LTPA) among Omani women in Muscat. This study stands on a realist ontological position and adopts empiricist epistemological assumptions. It is carried out through a quantitative approach that implements questionnaire as an instrument. Method of data analysis is based on Statistical Package of Social Sciences (SPSS). The findings of the study show that 60% of respondents meet the World Health Organisation minimum weekly physical activity guidelines. Moreover, the study found that aerobics, walking, swimming, and bowling are as the most favourite sports and physical activities that Omani women in Muscat prefer to do as LTPA. Finally, among the three examined constraints’ categories, structural constraints scored higher results than interpersonal and intrapersonal constraints.
