As internet and information system has changed rapidly in most organizational field in Oman, banking sector has influenced also. Banks prefer to use internet to facilitate the financial transaction between the bank system and customer. This paper aims to investigate the acceptance of using online banking by customers in Oman. Quantitative method was used in this study which has presented in its findings that the majority of people who use internet and technology are students and employees who have academic background or we can say educated people. Most of them aware about the extremely using of internet and information technology technique in different areas of life in general and in banking industry in special way. Whereas, security and some drawbacks in relation with the situation of internet connection are some limitations which inhibit in somehow the customers to accept online banking services. Indeed, this study has applied Technology Acceptance Model theory (TAM) which is one of the reliable model that had used in most studies of information system in order to interpret the human behavior via analyzing the factors around them which can be influence their decision . In this study, there are four different variables designate to evaluate and explore to the acceptance extensive of Omani customers .Those variables are attitude perceived, ease of use perceived and usefulness perceived, trust perceived. These variables play an essential role to influence the behavior of people toward the online banking acceptance. In addition, further predicted opportunities and recommendations also discussed in conclusion part.
