The present paper reports the first record of Diaphus garmani from the mesopelagic depth of the Oman Sea at Hormuzgan Province waters, during February to June 2011. Morphometric features of this specimen report here for the first time. The specimen was caught with midwater trawl from mesopelagic depth (280 and 410 m from 57° 50' E / 25° 29' N - 57° 46' E / 25° 31' N and 57° 04' E / 25° 30' N - 57° 09' E / 25° 34' N position) of Oman Sea.
