This paper addresses examples of the business potential of the proposed Open Mobile Access Network, introduced by the Whyless.com project. A fundamental reason for its design was the fact that OMAN will not only facilitate business involving network resources, but also will encourage and ease the development of new, better and cheaper eBusiness and eWork services. Modelling of this outer business is the target of this research, which is validated by presenting a comparison study for a real case business entity: an Application Service Provider for the AEC (Architectural, Engineering and Construction) industry. This comparison study tries to identify the enhanced and novel services enabled in OMAN in comparison with conventional technologies and also explores its market potential and business benefits. Furthermore, this paper presents the work that has been invested towards the demonstration of the basic achievements of this work into a multimedia demonstrator.
