A new species of Babycurus is described from Jabal Akhdar, in the Al Hajar Mountains of Northern Oman. The discovery extends the range of this Afrotropical genus to southeastern Arabia. It represents a significant disjunction with the only other known record of Babycurus on the Arabian peninsula, that of B. zambonellii from southwestern Yemen and Eritrea.
