دور القيادة الديموقراطية في رفع التحصيل الدراسي في مدارس التعليم الأساسي بسلطنة عمان

This study aims at determining the role of the democratic leadership in increasing the level of achievement in basic education schools in Oman and how it affects members in school where it uses the descriptive approach to achieve the aims of the study. The study depends on two tools to reach to the results which are questionnaires and situational tests. To ensure it sustainability and credibility, a random sample of 200 teachers and principals in basic education schools participated in the academic year 2019/2020. The result of study indicated that the democratic leadership plays a vital role in increasing the level of achievement in schools where the principal is a partner in the learning process. The importance of the relationship between schools and local communities is built on mutual respect which consequently plays an important role in the achievement. The democratic leadership is built in interaction, renovation, cooperation and creativity were all lead to the increasing of achievement. In addition, the study recommends reinforcing leadership in schools and reducing other approaches because of its valuable benefits. It also recommends that all responsible follow the democratic leadership in school administration because of the positive effects in the learning process and involving all people in the school in decision making as possible to away from the bureaucratic leadership because of its side effects in schools considering the quality of the learning process. It is important to confirm the development of humans to be active and creative through conducting workshops and peer visits. To assure this method, it is worth to indicate some innovative samples of this leadership approach to rewarded by the ministry and publish brochures and prints which employ the democratic leadership to be distributed among schools.
