The study aimed to study the relationship between parental involvement and academic achievement among students in Al Batinah North Governorate in the Sultanate of Oman by identifying its level and obstacles, as well as investigating any statistical differences between them due to the study variables (parents’ education level, family income, family members numbers). The study sample consisted of (373) male and female students from public schools in Al Batinah North Governorate in the Sultanate of Oman. The researcher adopted the descriptive-analytical method, and used the questionnaire as the study tool. The study concluded several results including that the level of parental involvement of students Al Batinah North Governorate in the Sultanate of Oman was high. Despite this, the obstacles that prevent parental involvement were represented in the lack of appropriate time for parents to participate in the education of their children, the parents’ lack of skills that would qualify them to cooperate with the school, and the absence of parents mainly at home due to travel or work. The researcher recommended the importance of providing training courses for parents in order to train them on the correct parental involvement methods.
