This study aimed to identify the level of social responsibility among adolescents (grade ten students) in the Sultanate of Oman and to identify the effectiveness of a collective counselling program in development The researcher relied on the semi-experimental approach to achieve the goal of the study, and he used three tools: the social responsibility scale, the interview and the consulting program, all of which were prepared by the researcher. The validity of these tools was verified and proven. The study population consisted of all grade ten students in all schools in the Sharqia North Governorate in Al-Mudaibi sector. The total number of students were 768 students during the first semester of the academic year 2019/2020, While the study sample consisted of (34) students from grade ten students in Abdullah Bin Ibn Abi Bakr School who has got the lowest level of social responsibility scores. They were randomly divided into an experimental group (17) students who received a counselling program consisting of (16) sessions over two months of application and a control group (17) students who did not receive any counselling program. The data were analysed using T.Test. The results of this study showed that there were statistically significant differences at the level of (α ≤ 0.05) in the social responsibility between the average scores of the experimental group students before and after the application of the program in favour of the post application. There was statistically significant at the level of significance (α ≤ 0.05) in the social responsibility between the average scores of the experimental group and the control group after the application of the program for the benefit of the experimental group, indicating the effectiveness of the collective counselling program used in this study. The results also showed that there were no statistically significant differences at the level (α ≤ 0.05) in the social responsibility among the experimental group on the telemetry and follow-up, which indicates the continuity of the effectiveness of the program used. In light of the findings of the study, the researcher recommends those responsible for educational curricula to pay attention to social responsibility in all stages of education through the allocation of a booklet with practical activities on the responsibility commensurate with the age of students starting from the first cycle of basic education and ending with the cycle after basic education.
