Since the establishment of the Cooperation Council for the Arab Gulf States in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi on May 25, 1981, which includes: the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, the Sultanate of Oman, and Bahrain until the Riyadh summit on December 9, 2018, Iran was present in the final statements of the summits of the Supreme Council of the Gulf Cooperation Council states. This research attempts to identify the orientations of the Gulf foreign policy towards Iran through the final statements of the Gulf Cooperation Council summits and the position of the GCC states on Iranian policy in the region, the influence of the GCC states’ stance towards the Iranian nuclear program on the relations between the two sides.
