Sultanate of Oman and many other countries face an issue of water deficiency due to the gradual decline of some water sources and irrational use of the existing water resources. On the other hand, Oman is among countries that receive very high solar intensity and has very long coast of about 3165 km, and hence these two factors are very important in producing water from vapor. Drain-water that releases out from 2000 W split cooling air-conditioning system has been studied in three cities in Oman, namely Sohar and Muscat as coastal cities, and Al-Buraimi as a desert city. The results showed that fresh water of about 40 liters can be obtained within one day when the mean value of the Relative Humidity is about 46%. The chemical analysis of some samples proved that the collected water is almost similar to distilled water with pH of about 6.85, and can be converted into drinking water. Meteorological data analysis of Oman for three years 2015, 2016 and 2017 revealed that the RH % of Sohar is higher than that of Muscat and Al-Buraimi, and therefore the quantity of water produced from the split AC(s) in Sohar was more than that of Muscat and Al-Buraimi. Furthermore, it has been proposed to use solar energy with cooling air-conditioning system to increase the RH% and consequently enhance the amount of the water obtained.
