Papers considered for publication in Qatar Medical Journal are those reporting original work, review articles and case reports that are particularly relevant to medicine in the broad sense. Editorials and Review articles are by invitation. Manuscripts are normally published in English but Arabic text can be considered if written in scientific format and language. All articles undergo a double-blind peer review process and are subject to editorial revision prior to acceptance. The journal is Open Access and all articles are published under a Creative Commons licence, meaning they are freely available online and can be reused with appropriate attribution.
