The present paper sheds some light on the relatively small country of Oman, which has earned respect for its active diplomatic role at the regional level, and aspires to gain further recognition in the world scene through economic prosperity. Oman has a strategic location, promising business climate, encouraging infrastructure, and an educated work-force. Oman is actively seeking foreign investment, and as such has created a businessfriendly environment. Oman is promoting investment in different fields such as tourism, manufacturing, higher education, healthcare, and renewable energy. The momentum of investment is building up, however it remains to be seen whether it will continue in the next few decades.
