A journal released by the Arab Center for Research and Policy Studies (ACRPS), devoted to providing English speakers with access to a selection of the best research in the social sciences and humanities coming out of the Arab academy. Articles in this journal were originally written in Arabic for the ACRPS’ other peer-reviewed publications journals. Studies were chosen for placement in AlMuntaqa based on the whether the research presented original fieldwork, new primary sources, and an in-depth indigenous knowledge of the Arab world. Access to these studies will provide an unprecedented look at the research agenda coming out of the Arab world, as well as advances the goal of cross-regional knowledge accumulation.
