The study aimed at identifying the role of school principals in activating the learning resource centers from the point of view of the specialist learning resource centers in basic education schools in Dhofar Governorate, the study sample consisted of (101) specialists and specialists. A questionnaire consisting of three areas related to (teachers, LRC specialists, students) was used, consisting of (44) paragraphs, It was used Study of the descriptive approach. One of the most important results of the study was that the role of school principals in activating learning resource centers in basic education schools in Dhofar governorate was very high from the point of view of specialists. As for the students was a medium degree. In addition, there were no statistically significant differences at the level of (0.05) in the role of principals of basic education schools in activating the performance of learning resource centers among sample members due to gender variable, scientific qualification and experience. One of the most important recommendations of the study was to develop the objectives of the school principal plan in order to gain students new interests, the detection of real tendencies and latent preparations, and their effective capacities to develop their access to information from different sources.
