This research aims to know the availability of cultural identity indicators degree in social studies books at the basic education stage in Sultanate of Oman. To achieve the research objectives, the researcher prepared a list of indicators indicating cultural identity, which totally amounted of 15 indicators. These indicators were divided into three main areas. The researcher then converted these three areas, which include the 15 indicators and converted them into a special questionnaire. This special questionnaire was applied on a random sample of 126 male & female teachers to express their opinion on the availability of cultural identity indicators degree in social studies books at basic education schools in Oman. The researcher also analyzed the social studies books contents for the fourth and eighth grade to indicate the cultural identity indicators after selecting those curricula randomly from the eight social studies stages books that are already applied on basic education students .The results showed that the availability of cultural identity indicators degree in the social studies books according to the analysis results for books contents was in a medium to weak ratio, also the research results were consistent with the estimates and teachers opinion on the availability of cultural identity indicators in social studies books Which was also ranging between medium to weak ratio. The research results also revealed a wide variation in consensus degree on the availability of cultural identity indicators extent in social studies books when analyzing the books contents and between the teachers views in the three areas, the overall fields compatibility rate was by 33.3%.
