This paper investigates the adopted styles of humor within the Omani public work environment. The four styles of humor were determined and considered for implementation by managers within the Omani public sector. By utilizing the case study approach as the strategy for the research, the evidence collection device and the narrative perspectives, formed in a questionnaire and an interview, were used to gather data. The results indicated that the aggressive humor style is not favoured by Omani public managers and they instead fostered affiliative humor style for building and strengthening relationships. It was also found that jeopardizing dignity by using humor is not tolerated which denotes to the fact that Omani public managers do not favour self-defeating humor style. On the other hand, they praise positivity and good source of conduct within themselves and with others which refers to the self-enhancing humor style.
