Improvements in management of agricultural water is highly required to conserve water, energy and soil while satisfying the society’s increasing demand for food and fiber, livestock and forest products. Understanding the effect of high temperature and water use efficiency on plant production is an important issue for its quality improvement. Moreover, applying soil amendments such polymer or growth promoter such as ecogrowth could decrease the adverse effects of drought and heat stress and promote plant growth. In this study, new invented polymer and growth promoter were used to evaluate their ability to improve soil condition and support plant growth of cucumber and tomato. For cucumber plant, the best growth was found with polymer treatment. Its yield was two times higher than control. Whereas, the eco-growth gave the lowest production of cucumber yield. The best result was found with tomato plants. The polymer treatment gave a production of four times than control and 1.5 times higher than eco-growth treatment. Whereas, the eco-growth was better in production by three times compared to control treatment. The ability of polymer to save much water in the soil root zoon was the main reason to give high and better production of cumber and tomato plants. Whereas, eco-growth was trying to supplement the soil with required and missing nutrient so it gave better result compare to control. However, having nutrient in the soil but no water to dissolve and carry them will not support the plant growth. Polymer was the best option in which it can keep much water in the soil and release it to the plant in drought period which is the time that control and eco-growth can do nothing for plant survival. Increasing soil water holding capacity especially in drought periods will be the best option to support and extend plant survival.
