Global Ecology and Conservation (GECCO) covers all sub-disciplines of ecological and conservation science, from theory to practice, from regional to global. The fields covered include organismal, population, community, and ecosystem ecology; physiological, evolutionary, and behavioral ecology, and conservation science. There is no bias with respect to taxon, biome or geographic area. GECCO is committed to publishing useful science in the form of research articles, case studies, reviews, and short communications of interest to researchers and professionals within these fields. The journal will generally not consider manuscripts without a significant biological component (e.g., studies of pollution chemistry), and particular emphasis is placed on connecting the research to its ecological and/or conservation implications.
