The study aimed to measure the effectiveness of a training program in the development of some of social skills of a sample of preschool children. Three social skills have been identified to be developed in this study, namely, (empathy, communicate with others, cooperation). The program was applied to a sample of 20 children of pre-school children (4-6 years) from Sinaw Private School in sinew –al mudhaibi- al sharqia north - Sultanate of Oman. The sample was divided equally between males (n1 = 10) and females (n2 = 10).The researcher used a measure of social intelligence contained in the (Kitami and Yousef, 2010) study, which consists of photographer scale and a teacher form Note .The first measurement was applied on the study sample, then the training program (prepared by the researcher) was applied to develop the social skills. After completion of the program, the second measurement has been applied and two weeks after, the follow-up measurement has been applied. The results of the study confirm the first hypothesis which is a presence of statistically significant differences in the social skills (empathy, communicate with others, cooperation) with pre-school children in the first and second measurements. This is because of the training program used in this study. As well as the results of the first, second and the follow-up measurements confirms the second hypothesis which indicates that there are no statistically significant differences between the second and follow-up measurements in social skills (empathy, communicate with others, cooperation) among a sample of pre-school children. At the end of the study, the researcher recommended to apply the program provided by the current study in pre-education schools Oman. Keywords: effectiveness, training program, social skills development.
