فاعلية برنامج توجيهي جمعي في تنمية الوعي المهني المهني باستخدام الأناشيد الشعرية لطلبة الصف الرابع

The current study aimed to investigate the effectiveness of group counseling program by using poetry lyric to increase the career awareness among grade four students in A’Dakhiliyah Governorate in Sultanate of Oman. The methodology used in the study is semi-experimental approach which meets the hypotheses. The participants of the study are 52 students, divided randomly into two groups: one is experimental group which consists of 25 students (male and female) and the other is control group which consists of 27 students (male and female). An imaged test has been used to measure the career awareness which is reliable and stable measure. Also, a group counseling program has been conducted to increase the career awareness by using lyric poetry for grade four; about 16 sessions. Equivalence in career awareness between the two groups has been assured. A counseling program has been implemented, about three sessions a week on the experimental group, by using T-test for independent samples, T-test for interrelated samples, multi variance analysis, and bilateral variance analysis. The results have shown that there are statistically significant differences in the mean scores of students’ performance in career awareness test and it is in favor the experimental group. The statistical significant differences found in the participated groups are between the mean samples of pre and post-test and it is in favor of post-test. The results has shown no significant statistical differences in gender and the interaction between gender and group which proves that the counseling program has been effective equally for both males and females, and in light of this results, a number recommendations and suggestions have been given.
