This study tackles the most significant improvements in Salalah Port and the role of that in the development of marine transport movement . It also deals with the spread or re- export trade ,especially after the establishment of free zone in salalah and the attraction of commercial and industrial foreign investment which led to the raise of macro commercial activity level in the port , and the attraction of regional and international marine ships .That made of salalah Port a significant axis of economic activity after oil. The Port is also considered as one of effective economic bases of foreign trade in Oman as commercial development increased with globalization and technical advance that encourage different companies in the port to provide modern equipments and efficient electronic exchange systems, especially in containers stations to equip with international marine transport fleet.
